App Center Overview
The Pop App Center is an application ecosystem built on the capabilities of Workflows.
Here, users can browse, create, run, bookmark, and manage various tool-style applications.
The App Center serves both as a key entry point for using Pop and as the core space where users build their own automation tools, AI tools, and data-processing utilities.
The core value of the App Center includes:
- Lowering the barrier to complex capabilities: Many complex workflows are packaged into ready‑to‑use “Apps”.
- Visual operation interface: Users can complete tasks directly through the application UI without understanding underlying workflows.
- High extensibility: Each user can publish their own apps or import apps shared by others.
- Flexible layout: App interfaces are fully built through the Layout Manager, supporting multi‑region and multi‑view customization.
- Unified execution environment: All apps share Pop’s workflow engine, ensuring more stable execution and consistent results.
The App Center includes the following main sections:
● App List (All Apps)
Displays all available apps, including image tools, PDF tools, AI utilities, data-processing tools, and various general-purpose utilities.
Users can switch between card view and list view.
● Left Sidebar Categories
Including:
- All Apps
- Common Tools
- AI Tools
- Data Processing
- Bookmarks
- Recently Used
- My Apps (apps created by the user)
These categories help users quickly locate what they need.
● Bookmarks
Bookmarks act as a quick‑launch area, similar to a browser favorites bar.
Users can pin frequently used apps to the left sidebar to build a personal application workspace and improve efficiency.
● Search & Filtering
The App Center supports:
- Searching by app name
- Filtering by tags
- Filtering by version or category (future expansion)
This is especially useful when many apps are available.
● App Execution Page
Clicking any app card opens the execution interface.
This interface is generated by the Layout Manager and may include:
- Input form area
- Run button
- Execution console
- Result display area (charts, text, files, images, etc.)
- Workflow preview (optional)
Different apps can have entirely different operation interfaces.
App Center Positioning
Pop aims for the App Center to achieve three major goals:
1) Enable everyone to build their own “mini‑tools”
Whether it’s AI processing, file handling, image conversion, text generation, or PDF utilities—everything can be created by turning a workflow into an app.
2) Share workflow achievements
Workflows can be exported as apps for friends, teams, or even uploaded to a future App Store.
3) Provide a unified application entry point
Regardless of what nodes an app uses (AI, file, database, HTTP, script), everything can ultimately be accessed through a unified interface.
The App Center is one of the most important features of Pop.
The following sections will explain how to generate apps from workflows, how to design app interfaces, how to run apps, and how to share them.
