Frequently Asked Questions (Installation and Download)
Encountering issues? Here are answers to some frequently asked questions
What to do if download speed is slow?▼
Our download servers are located overseas, which may result in slower downloads in some regions. We recommend using download tools (such as IDM, Xunlei) to accelerate downloads, or retry during periods with better network conditions.
macOS prompts "Unverified Developer" and cannot open?▼
Please go to "System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General", click the "Open Anyway" button. Alternatively, right-click on the application icon and select "Open", then confirm to open.
Windows installation prompts virus or risk?▼
This is because the application has not yet obtained Microsoft's digital signature certification. Rest assured, Pop Assistant is completely open source and secure. You can choose "Run anyway" to continue installation, or add the installer to your antivirus software's whitelist.
AppImage cannot run on Linux?▼
Please ensure executable permissions are added: chmod +x Pop-*.AppImage. Some distributions require FUSE installation: Ubuntu/Debian users can run sudo apt install libfuse2.
How to uninstall Pop Assistant?▼
macOS: Simply drag the application to the Trash. Windows: Uninstall via "Add or Remove Programs". Linux: Delete the AppImage file or use dpkg -r to uninstall DEB packages. User data is stored in the system default location and can be manually deleted.
Cannot start or crashes after installation?▼
Please check if your system version meets requirements (macOS 11+, Windows 10+). If issues persist, try redownloading the installer, or check application log files to identify specific errors. Welcome to submit Issues in the repository for feedback.
